Vide Infra has released a contribution to PEAR open source project, Data Validation class for Latvia: http://pear.php.net/package/Validate_LV

The class allows validating data frequently used in application and user registration forms. The class includes validation for such data as Latvian Personal ID, Company VAT number, phone number to name a few. The validation would be the most useful for application and registration forms on finance-related websites. 

PEAR, which is an abbreviation for PHP Extension and Application Repository, is an open source community project, a repository of high-quality PHP source code packages available for PHP developers world-wide.
